Please Join Us for This Dynamic Day for Women

We invite you to gather with other women for a day of vibrant discussions on our sexual desires and experiences. This forum will be organized in an Open Space Format which allows the participants to choose the discussion topics most alive for them. It's a chance to share your perspective on sex as well as learn from other women.

All sexual orientations welcome! Transgendered and genderqueer women welcome and encouraged to attend.

Here is a question to ponder:

What if our culture's model of sexuality was based
on WOMEN"S sexual experiences and desires?

Much of what we learn about sex comes from sources (porn, the media, & the medical model) that are not rooted in an experiential understanding of a woman's perspective. Many women therefore learn what is expected of them long before they are ever asked what it is they themselves want. This needs to change. Women deserve to have their perspective heard and validated. And the best way to do this is for us to get together and start speaking our truths to each other. By expressing and hearing all of our concerns, curiosities, and passions we can generate our own understanding of sex from a woman's point of view.

Open Space Format

This conference will use a format known as "Open Space Technology." Open Space gatherings provide a dynamic alternative to traditionally structured conferences (where audiences are often passive). We will gather together in the morning to propose specific topics and themes to discuss. Each participant has the opportunity to convene a discussion they are passionate about. Throughout the day, participants can engage in whatever discussions peak their interest. Open Space gatherings almost always result in a synergistic sense of excitement and personal involvement in the topic at hand. We think this will be even more pronounced when the topic is sex!
